  Recipe 1   Punjabi Chole Masala     Jai Pawar          Preparation Time: 15 minutes    Cooking Time: 20 minutes    Ingredients:   Chole / Chickpeas: 2 cups, Soaked for 7-8 hrs   Salt to taste   Pinch of soda   Ghee (Clarified Butter ) 2 tablespoon   Oil 2 tbsp   Cumin seeds (Jeera )1 teaspoon     Onion, finely chopped-2   Ginger piece shredded-1/4inch   Garlic roughly shredded-4 cloves   Bay leaves (   using curry leaves bay leaves are not available)-2   Green chilies chopped-2   2 tsp Red chili powder   Tomato finely chopped-2       1/4 tsp Turmeric powder 2   1 tbsp Garam masala   1 tablespoon Dried Anardana powder   Readymade MDH chole masala   Water   Methods:   Soaked Chickpeas for 7-8 hrs with one tea bag.
